When a new SketchUp version is released, the files for the sketchup pro 2018 3d warehouse free supported version will be removed. For your hobbyist use you can still use SketchUp Make and get adobe free windows 10 from the 3D Warehouse through the Components panel or as you described, you can access the 3D Warehouse through your browser and get the Collada files to import.
